SMAC 2021 - call for proposals

Call for proposals

Dead-line reported: April 2 April 12

As part of this webconference, several niches are at your disposal to express yourself on the themes addressed. You have two options:

  • A 10-minute communication (8-9 minutes of presentation and 1-2 minutes for questions)
  • An e-poster with a video (5 minutes recommended) that will be made available during the conference week.

The communication deposit is accessible on our registration site.

All communications will be in english

Oral Communication:

Communications will be selected on each of these topics:

  • 4 on Bayesianism (Monday June 14th and Tuesday June 15th),
  • 2 on Agent based modelling (Wednesday June 16th)
  • 2 on Causality (Thursday June 17th)

Communications including these themes in the context of big data and artificial intelligence are especially expected.

The International Journal of Biostatistics review will publish, under the responsibility of Isabelle Drouet, Erica Moodie and Nicolas Savy, a special issue dedicated to our SMAC 2021 webconference under the topics "Bayesianism, Causal Inference and Artificial Intelligence".
The selected speakers will be able (and are encouraged) to submit their work for this special issue.

E-Poster

Your video will be available on the conference platform during the week, and then during one month for the registered participants only. All themes are welcome: statistics, IT, philosophy, human and social sciences (especially sociology and history of science or statistics and psychology and psychometry of health) as long as communication feeds into the issues developed during this webconference.
Team presentations are eligible as long as the team is engaged in research areas related to the conference.

The recommended length for these videos is 5 minutes. No video should exceed 10 minutes.

Submission shedule

  • April 30 - Limit of deposit of the abstract on our platform
  • May 5 - Notification of acceptance of the communication by the scientific committee
  • May 28 - Limit on sending the poster and accompanying video to the organizing committee.
