“The life of cancer cells” - 2nd IGH PhD students and Postdocs Meeting - 12-13 décembre 2019

Séminaires/ Congrès

A lieu le 12 décembre 2019
jusqu'au 13 décembre 2019

  • Lieu : Génopolys (Montpellier)

Description

CGSO partenaire

This one day and a half symposium is organized by a group of PhD students and Postdocs from the Institute of Human Genetics (IGH) in Montpellier (France), and follows the great success of the Young Life Scientists’ Symposium (YLS) “Genome Stability: a Lifetime Challenge”, which was organized last year. The meeting is focused on the processes of the life of cancer cells: from its initiation, evasion of the immune system and metastasis, to the development of new treatments. There will also be an Ethics session focused on cancer research.

This meeting is organized by and for young researchers, so PhD students and Postdocs are strongly encouraged to present their work in the form of oral or poster presentations. This meeting will be a great opportunity for young participants to present their work, find new research opportunities, start collaborations, and expand their networks.

Registration are free of charge but mandatory (limited to 90 participants). Moreover, the French Society of Genetics is generously sponsoring the prizes of 150 € for the best short talk and 100 € for the best poster.
